Model Kits....Do You Know Them?

Model kit is a miniature of an object which is made similar to the real one. Model kits are usually made of plastic which is easy to be modified and colored. Model kit itself divided into various types. There are plane, building, car, bike, and robot model with some companies producing them. Tamiya produces car or bike models, Kotobukiya and Academy produce plane or ship models, Bandai produces robot models. Collecting model kits is my hobby since I was still in 3rd grade of elementary school. I have completed a lot of Gundam models and a few sport car series. It is very fun to assemble and paint your models. Actually model kits are a bit expensive. I usually spend about 200000 to 500000 IDR for a model kit, including the paints and the tools. Some models are difficult to assmble, so you need to be more careful with your model. If you cut or put the parts incorrectly, the model won't be good looking, or even can be broken. After finishing a model I feel really satisfied and I am sure it happens to everyone who finishes a model kit.
Collecting model kits is really fun, although it is a bit expensive. Have you made any model kit? If not, try to do it!

I used to make model planes. They were fun and somewhat challenging. Building them is good for fine motor skills. You have to be careful and patient. It's a good hobby.

Sir Charles, thank you for the comment and I am really happy that you said this is a good hobby. You know, most people said that model kit is merely a kids' toy.
